Dealroom: Get Instant Data on Startups

Dealroom approached us with some key problems to solve regarding the UI/UX of their core web app, as well as the design of their website.

The Problem

The issues that was raised in our initial conversation were mainly around usability and how we could improve specific areas of the web app. We analysed the market and came up with a strategic plan that would enable us to both level up the current user experience and make Dealroom stand out from the competition.

The Challenge

Due to the nature of their business, dealing with large amounts of data and variables was challenging at times. That's one of the reasons why we decided to break down the project into small segments, which would allow us to isolate the core issues of a specific page (or flow) and create a clear UX hierarchy where we would outline what is missing in the current solution and what areas need to be updated.

The Solution

‍

Based on the strategic planning that we did in the first phase, we were able to easily create new solutions in a relatively fast and efficient way. Of course, working on a web app is an iterative process, so we're always looking for ways to bring the app experience to the next level. An extra layer of challenge was considering how the new solution would work together with the new brand identity that we were building, and in the end we came up with an online experience that was positively received by both the team and customers.
