Brandfetch plugin for Figma

Have you ever loved the design of a website so much that you’ve wanted to know everything about it? The font they used, the exact colors, icons, and images – it is normal, don’t worry.

Some sites impress you with their readability, some with their visuals, some with their color palettes; and the list goes on. Naturally, you might want to incorporate some of that style into your own projects.

But did you know you can access all those things just by a simple plugin? Yes, it’s called the Brandfetch plugin, and it is available for you to use in your Figma designs.

What is the Brandfetch plugin for Figma?

Brandfetch allows you to have access to brands’ assets. Assets like colors used, fonts, images, icons, logos – anything visual. Their gallery is quite impressive as this plugin lets you import these assets from millions of brands worldwide, both old and recent.

Brandfetch includes big brands as well, such as Google, Pinterest, Spotify, Canva, Adobe, Sketch, and much more.

Another exciting aspect of this plugin is that you can claim your own brand and sync your assets to Brandfetch, for easy access and also to be part of this huge community of creators. By claiming your brand at Brandfetch, you can update all your assets across the internet with only a click. Quite beneficial.

How to use the Brandfetch plugin for Figma?

Brandfetch has plenty of features available within the plugin, and we will be showing them all so you do not miss out on any.

First of all, install Brandfetch by visiting their official page on the Figma community.

Click Try it out, and do not forget to press the Save button next to it so you can use the plugin at any time.

Once you have clicked Run, the plugin will open itself on your Figma canvas.

The plugin has multiple sections for your use.

The first is the Search section, where you can search for any brand of your liking. It also creates a history of your recently viewed brands, for easy access.

Then there’s the Explore. Here, you are presented with multiple categories to choose from, and for each category, there are plenty of popular brands available.

This is a good feature if you are looking for inspiration, fonts, color palettes, and all of the sorts. Or if you are simply curious to know what the most popular brands are working with.

You even have a Discover a random brand button, for those cases of designer’s block where you really need inspiration.

The Editorial section will show you the latest makeovers of different brands – their recent design changes in logos or icons. It is certainly interesting to scroll through for editorial tips.

In the end, you have your Library.

Your library is where your own brand’s assets can be stored and shared. This feature of Brandfetch is important because it allows you to connect to a whole community of people, stay consistent across the internet, easily share your brand’s assets, etc.

You can learn more about controlling your brand via Brandfetch here. It is important to know that you must be part of a work project and have a business email to be able to claim your brand on Brandfetch.

All in all, Brandfetch is your go-to tool for anything related to brands’ assets and designs. Even if you aren’t interested in claiming your own brand, Brandfetch still assists you with plenty of other useful features!
